Learning a Second Language, Epicure-style

We truly value our Home Team Members—and we love to show it! That's why we're always looking for ways to help our HTMs be happier, healthier, and even better at their jobs.

Case in point: Epicure recently started offering English as a Second Language training to members of our Home Team who want to work on their English skills. Our Home Team Members are a diverse bunch from all over the world, and this training is helping them all to communicate a little easier.

For 16 weeks, participants meet in the comfort of our Home Office with a teacher from the Victoria International Academy, a dedicated ESL school. To suit the HTMs’ different backgrounds and languages, the course helps them learn through active participation, such as by cooking from recipes, going on nature walks, and listening to music. What a fun way to learn a new language!

So far, several members of our Operations Department are taking the class. We're hoping to expand it in the future so even more of our Home Team Members can join in!
