Who’s behind our incredible food and cookware products? Why, it’s our Innovation, Research & Development (IRD) team of course! This team of 6 (soon to be 7) is all about taste, taste, taste! They are always keeping their eyes and tastebuds open to food trends, new products popping up on grocery store shelves, menu items chefs are experimenting with, and great food articles in culinary journals and magazines – all so Epicure can offer the best of the culinary world with our products!

Our IRD team holds tastings in the test kitchen (yes, the rest of us are quite jealous) in order to discover the best new and exciting food products that Epicure will develop in the years to come. During these tastings, they focus not only on taste, but also on how to encourage Customers to use the products, as well as tips, tricks, and meal solutions to pass on to Consultants for showcasing the products at their Tasting Parties.

Just as they are constantly keeping an eye out for new food products, they are also busy testing innovative new cookware. Just what is the best bowl for that new Epicure dip? Or what is the perfect pot to create a fabulous meal with our What’s for Dinner? lineup? And yes, the test kitchen is where the team created the fabulous (and incredibly popular) Chipster!

Our IRD Team works closely with the Marketing and Communications teams, providing the culinary aspect of our catalogues and monthly Epicure Magazines. They also work very closely with our Photographer and our Creative Strategist/Food Stylist to create gorgeous photographs that bring the products, cookware, and recipes to life.

(A note to all new Home Team Members: it pays to get on this team’s good side… You never know when delicious goodies will be left out for their co-workers...)
